With over 1.5 million combined monthly users, CryptoSlate and Crypto Briefing have become the latest participants to join Access Protocol Web3 Paywall.
Both publications can make use of Access Protocol’s content paywall system. As a result, the new entrants join Wu Blockchain and The Block as initial ecosystem participants.
What can Access Protocol offer creators and consumers
Access Protocol offers flexibility for consumers and creators rather than locking them into annual or monthly commitments. Users can support the creators they prefer and consume their content by staking a minimum number of Access Protocol’s ACS tokens determined by the creators themselves.
In addition, consumers maintain access to each creator as long as their ACS tokens remain staked. There are no fees or chargebacks for creators.
There are also several benefits you can enjoy as a consumer, as mentioned by Access Protocol:
- You will be able to subscribe(stake) or unsubscribe (unstake) at any time.
- With the Access web3 wallet, you can connect with creators without managing multiple credentials. In addition, there is no need to create a new wallet for each publisher, which reduces sign-up friction.
- Once you subscribe (stake the minimum threshold of ACS), there are no additional fees to access the creator’s content. In addition, there are no recurring credit card transactions, and the staked ACS will remain the same.
- In contrast to complex and time-consuming cancellation procedures, you can “unsubscribe” with a single click.
How CryptoSlate and Crypto Briefing will utilize Access Protocol
Access will provide users with a front-end widget that enables them to stake $ACS directly to CryptoSlate’s pool from their website. Additionally, under the Access pool, CryptoSlate will offer its premium research product, CryptoSlate Alpha.
“CryptoSlate is excited to partner with Access Protocol to bring a web3-enabled membership portal to our global readers. Access Protocol is poised to disrupt content monetization by enabling subscribers to earn and retain the value of their membership over time,” CryptoSlate CEO Nate Whitehill said.
Meanwhile, Crypto Briefing will incorporate Access Protocol into its new research membership, offering the “most accessible and lowest-cost subscription to date.”
The new service will be available in Q1 2023.
